Following on from the successful DSI4EU project, Nesta and the Waag Society are excited to be working with five new partners – WeMake (Milan), the ePaństwo Foundatio (Warsaw), betterplace lab (Berlin), the Fab Foundation and Barcelona Activa (both Barcelona) – to launch a new project, DSISCALE, in January!
What will DSISCALE do?
DSISCALE will bring together different practitioners, policy makers, funders and other stakeholders in digital social innovation (DSI) around specific social challenges to deliver coordination, support and peer learning activities online and offline. In turn, these activities will support DSI initiatives to grow and scale their impact. DSISCALE will also continue to facilitate digitalsocial.eu, the European hub for DSI, mapping activity and sharing news, stories, case studies, events and funding. It will support policy makers to understand how better to support DSI through the development of a DSI City Index and will conduct research exploring future scenarios for DSI and the potential effects of emerging technologies on DSI. Finally, DSISCALE will conduct a final CAPS event in 2019 bringing together the cohorts of projects funded under the programme.
How can you help us?
As a Coordination and Support Action, one of DSISCALE’s key objectives is to support the CAPS projects and the wider DSI community. In January, we’ll be setting up a survey to understand more about how we can best offer support. In the meantime, please get in touch if any ideas spring to mind or if you’d just like a quick chat with one of the team – we can’t wait to start working with you!
